Abuja Investment Company Awards ₦9.75 Million to Young Entrepreneurs

July 23, 2026 · HYAI Newsroom

The Abuja Investment Company Limited has handed out a combined ₦9.75 million to nine standout startups through the 2026 Abuja Young Entrepreneurs' Hunt, with three winners emerging in each of three categories: information and communications technology, agribusiness, and creative enterprise.

Winners received cash prizes of ₦1.5 million, ₦1 million, and ₦750,000 respectively, alongside mentorship and market access support designed to help them scale. Organized in partnership with the Abuja Enterprise Agency, the initiative has empowered 600 young entrepreneurs across its 2026 edition alone.

It's a strong example of how state-level investment bodies are backing young founders directly with real capital, not just training — worth keeping an eye on for similar programs that might open up closer to home in Kaduna.
